The Prince

The Prince Machiavellis, The Prince, is his guide to how a prince should literally live his life kinda of theoretically living his life. People in that time sequel guidelines to chivalry and prince hood that in theory sounded wonderful, such as compassion, courage and generosity. The truth of the matter was a man couldnt live with just the good characteristics. To prosper or be successful you cant always be proper. If its in the best interest of the kingdom the prince needs to do it. Chapter XV part explains how a prince should rule. Virtuous living is looked see to it upon. The main focus is on the practicality of the choices you make. Every decision should be based on how it will affect the whole community. Chapter 16 shows how if you are too generous then it will be the downfall to your kingdom. The funds it takes to be generous will tip to high taxes for the people of your community. This leads to whether it is better to be love or feared. While in a perfect world a leader would be both feared and love, that is not practical. Machiavelli states that it is better to be feared because people respect someone they fear. If you are just loved others will take advantage of you. Although fear is good to conjure up off over people, you dont want them to detest you either. This is where Machiavelli concludes in saying you basically had to find a elated forte where fear isnt overbearing. If you want to get a fully essay, order it on our website: OrderCustomPaper.com
